Karuna is a Sanskrit word and is also used in Hinduism and Buddhism. It translates as any action that is done to lessen the suffering of others and could also be translated as "compassionate action".

Karuna is the motivating quality of all enlightened beings (also called Brothers and Sisters of Light) who are working to end suffering on Earth. They continually send us unlimited amounts of healing energy and guidance, but not everyone is receptive. As Karuna develops in yourself, you are not only helping others, but you also become more receptive to Karuna being sent. Thus, your healing is also accelerated.
